The best clinical outcomes for eating disorder clients who also face substance abuse issues come from treating all symptoms, and the underlying psychological causes, concurrently. Our integrated treatment addresses this need.
Our intake process includes comprehensive physical, psychological, dietary, and addiction assessments that allow our multidisciplinary team to tailor concurrent addiction and eating disorder treatment. This integrated treatment addresses the intersection of substance abuse behavior and eating disorder symptoms, teaching clients to become mindful of behavioral patterns and gain the tools to prevent future relapse. As part of integrative treatment, our Addiction Case Manager works one-on-one with clients to find informed sponsorship and a recovery community that meets their belief system, whether that is within the 12 Step paradigm or other recovery alternatives for those who do not wish to participate in the 12 Step model.
“I was able to seek treatment for my eating disorder and drug abuse with LV. I could not find a program anywhere else that could treat both issues at the same time. The whole team worked with me every step of the way and I now have insight into how and why my addictions and ED behaviors developed as coping mechanisms. I am slowly building a new life of acceptance, recovery, and authenticity. Thank you.”
