Community Outreach for Eating Disorders

La Ventana reaches out to the community to raise awareness and educate the public regarding eating disorders. We sponsor several programs in the community such as:

  • Working with high schools and colleges to promote awareness and sponsoring of clubs
  • Workshops given to put the public in touch with food and feelings
  • Luncheons given with guest speakers and panel discussions
  • Fundraisers to provide scholarships for treatments
  • Organized walks to raise money and awareness
  • Overeaters Anonymous meetings hosted at our office
  • Monthly Round Table discussions for professionals in the field of Eating Disorders
  • Free Eating Disorder Community Support Groups
  • Laurel Springs continued education for high school aged clients
